these are loose redesigns since their canon designs don’t really read as their roles all that much to begin with. some extra doodles and ideas for this in the cut !!

I wasn’t sold on chef Zoro at first but this description of it makes total sense. Fits the bandana! I feel like, unlike Sanji, he’s just someone who knows how to make a few dishes really well, not make everything. He’d be like if you gave someone as hungry for meat as Luffy the ability to actually cook it himself.
So many of these are awesome but I think Franky as musician and Brook as doctor are my favorites. I would laugh at Brook’s skull jokes while he diagnoses me. And Usopp as navigator doesn’t even feel like a new idea; it’s just absolutely a thing he could pull off if he had to, in canon.
